Levin Häni, MD, has been a senior physician at the Department of Neurosurgery at Inselspital, Bern University Hospital, since 2022. His research focuses on both neuro-oncology and spontaneous intracranial hypotension.
Levin Häni completed his medical studies at the University of Zurich with stays abroad at the University of Paris Descartes, France, and at Duke University in North Carolina, USA. Following his studies, he worked at the Support Center for Advanced Neuroimaging at the Inselspital in Bern on the development of methods for computer-assisted image diagnosis in stroke cases.
After one year of basic surgical training at Winterthur Cantonal Hospital, he began his further training as an assistant physician at the Department of Neurosurgery at Inselspital in 2016. After training in Bern and Lucerne, he qualified as a specialist in neurosurgery in 2021. This was followed by a fellowship in neuro-oncology and spontaneous intracranial hypotension at the University Hospital Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. In 2023, Levin Häni successfully completed his habilitation at the University of Bern.
