Prof. Dr. Philippe Schucht, MD is a specialist in neurosurgery and specializes in tumors and brain vessels operations, both in adults and children.

After his basic training in Zurich, Philippe Schucht completed a fellowship with Prof. Hugues Duffau in Montpellier, France, the pioneer of low-malignant brain tumor surgery, and a second fellowship with Prof. Mitchel Berger and Prof. Michael Lawton in San Francisco, USA, two of the world’s leading luminaries in neuro-oncological and vascular neurosurgery.

His research is focused on the treatment of brain tumors, always with the aim of improving the prognosis and quality of life of his patients thanks to innovative approaches of treatment.

With the founding of the Swiss Young Neurosurgeons and his many years of involvement as a teacher and organizer, Philippe Schucht has made a significant contribution of the continuing education of young neurosurgeons in Switzerland. He also founded a humanitarian NGO that works primarily Myanmar (formerly Burma) to train and educate doctors and nurses in specialized medicine, thereby improving the treatment of children and young doctors in particular in the long term.
