Prof. Dr. med. David Bervini is a board-certified neurosurgeon with particular expertise in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery.
After studying medicine at the University of Lausanne and completing his postgraduate training in Switzerland, he obtained his specialist certification in neurosurgery in 2011. He then completed a two-year surgical fellowship with clinical research at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, under Prof. Michael Morgan, focusing on cerebrovascular neurosurgery. During his time in Australia, he also earned a Master’s degree that included, among other subjects, ethics and medical education. In recent years, he has further expanded his expertise through advanced training in China and the United States.
David Bervini has received multiple awards for his clinical and research work, including the César Roux Career Award of the University of Lausanne, the First Prize of the Ypsomed Innovation Fund, as well as grants from the Swiss Innovation Agency (Innosuisse) and the Swiss Heart Foundation. He serves as a reviewer for several internationally renowned journals and as an expert for various national and international scientific societies.
He has initiated numerous international training courses, including the first simulation workshop for the microsurgical treatment of intracranial aneurysms in Bern.

In addition to his clinical research, he has a strong interest in new technologies and leads several translational research projects in collaboration with national and international centers. His bibliography includes more than 100 publications, including original research articles, reviews, and book chapters.
